Bankston Fork Baptist Church was organized by Elder Wilson Henderson in 1818, the same year that Illinois became a state, making it the oldest Baptist church in Saline County. In its 207 year history, Bankston has met in five different buildings. Our current building was dedicated on September 11th, 1988, and the classroom addition was completed in June 1998.
